A 30-meter section of the Yamunotri walking path caved in, completely halting traffic on the Yamunotri Highway. Due to continuous rains in Pithoragarh, the water level of Saryu and Gomti rivers is continuously rising, while five motorable roads in Bageshwar district have been completely blocked due to landslides and debris. Due to heavy rains, the Tanakpur-Tawaghat highway is closed near Tawaghat. 22 roads have been closed, including the Tawaghat-Lipulekh-China road leading to the China border, the Munsyari-Dhapa-Milam road connecting the border, and the Thal-Munsyari road.
