The flight was subsequently diverted to Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Airport in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. There were reportedly 174 people on board, including 27 children. During a video call with Prime Minister Narendra Modi from a hospital in Abu Dhabi, Captain Machhar recalled how he realised the aircraft was descending and fell from his seat. He said he managed to open the cockpit door, allowing others to enter and assist. Machhar also revealed that he has been flying aircraft for 17 years and has served as a captain for the past 11 years. Required positions will also be created for the foreign language departments: Spanish, German, French, Chinese, and Japanese. The CM stated that the greatest strength of any nation is its youth. UKPSC Extends Revenue Inspector Application Deadline to August 18

The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) has extended the application process for the ongoing recruitment for the post of Revenue and Tax Inspector in the Urban Development Department. According to the Commission’s Secretary, Ashok Kumar Pandey, the deadline for this recruitment was set for August 4th. However, due to continuous heavy rainfall in the hilly and rural areas of the state, network problems have occurred, preventing candidates from applying. For the convenience of candidates, the Commission has extended the deadline for online applications and fee submission to August 18th. The application website has been reopened from today, August 8th, until August 18th. The opportunity to make corrections to applications will be available from August 25th.The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) began interviews for 328 candidates who passed the Lower PCS Main Examination on July 27th. Interviews for the remaining 65 candidates will be held between August 31st and September 3rd.The Commission has listed three candidates as ineligible for failing to submit the required documents on time. However, the Commission has given them a chance to present their case (submit a representation) until August 16. Meanwhile, 10 candidates who were previously declared ineligible failed to submit a representation by the stipulated time and have been excluded from the Lower PCS recruitment process.

Uttarakhand : CM Dhami to Honour 13 Women with Teelu Rauteli Award

On the birth anniversary of the state’s brave woman, Teelu Rautela, the Uttarakhand government awards the Teelu Rauteli Award to women and adolescent girls for their outstanding performance in sports, social service, literature, and other fields. This year, 13 women from the state have been selected for the Teelu Rauteli Award. The awards will be presented on Saturday, August 8th, at the Sanskrit Department’s auditorium on the Haridwar Bypass Road. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will present the awards to the selected women. Additionally, 35 women will receive the state-level Anganwadi Worker Award. The award was instituted in 2006. On the birth anniversary of the Teelu Rauteli Award, the state government honors women and adolescent girls for their outstanding work in the field of women’s empowerment. According to the department officials, this time the department received 217 applications from various districts for the Teelhu Rauteli Award. Out of which 13 women have been selected. In this, 21 applications were received from Almora, 8 from Bageshwar, 12 each from Chamoli and Champawat, 23 from Dehradun, 22 from Haridwar, 29 from Nainital, 8 from Pauri, 13 from Pithoragarh, 13 from Tehri, 11 from Rudraprayag, 11 from Udham Singh Nagar and 24 applications were received by the department from Uttarkashi district. Out of these, 13 women have been selected. Whereas for the state level Anganwadi worker award, the department received 220 applications from across the state, out of which 35 women have been selected for the award. ESMA Enforced in Uttarakhand as Employee Protests Loom Ahead of Elections

Major news is emerging from Uttarakhand: the state government has invoked ESMA (Essential Services Maintenance Act) across the entire state. Under this order, issued by Personnel Secretary Shailesh Bagauli, all forms of strikes are prohibited for the next six months. With elections approaching, these unions are preparing to protest, pressing for the restoration of the old ACP (Assured Career Progression) system prior to the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission. Shortly after the government invoked ESMA, the Congress party and D.El.Ed-trained candidates staged a protest outside the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission office, alleging irregularities in the recruitment of secondary assistant teachers. The protesters locked the Commission’s gate and demanded an immediate halt to the recruitment process. In response, the Commission postponed the document verification for the remaining posts. During the protest last Thursday, Congress State Vice President Suryakant Dhasmana arrived at the site and raised slogans in support of the demonstrators; subsequently, the agitated crowd locked the Commission’s gate.
