Huma Qureshi has praised her Toxic- A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups co-star Kiara Advani for her dedication while shooting the upcoming film. Speaking at the film’s pre-release event in Chennai, Huma recalled filming a rain sequence with Kiara and described the actor’s determination as deeply inspiring.

Huma said the two actors were part of a scene that involved heavy rain. While Huma herself was struggling with a headache during the shoot, she said she kept looking at Kiara, who was six months pregnant at the time, and was amazed by her strength.
According to Huma, Kiara continued performing the scene despite being drenched in the rain. She described the actor as “standing like a rock” and said watching her work through the difficult conditions inspired her not to complain.

Kiara and her husband, actor Sidharth Malhotra, welcomed their daughter in July 2025. The couple later revealed their daughter’s name as Saraayah Malhotra and have maintained privacy around her.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic stars Yash in the lead role alongside Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth. The period gangster drama has attracted considerable attention ahead of its theatrical release, while some aspects of the film, including its promotional material and the song Tabaahi, have also sparked criticism.
Toxic is scheduled to release in theatres on August 26. With the film nearing its release, Huma’s comments have once again highlighted Kiara’s commitment to the project and her demanding shooting experience during pregnancy.
