The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s two-day extended state executive committee meeting has begun today, Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at the Green Vintage Banquet Hall on Rampur Road in Haldwani, Uttarakhand’s Nainital district. The main objectives of this meeting are to prepare an election roadmap for ‘Mission 2027, strengthen the organization at the booth level, and deliberate on the ‘Developed Uttarakhand’ resolution. BJP National President Nitin Naveen will also attend the meeting. State in-charge Dushyant Gautam, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, State President Mahendra Bhatt, Tirath Singh Rawat, and several other leaders have arrived at the executive committee meeting.

Key points from this two-day major political brainstorming session:

  • Extensive discussions are being held on the party’s election strategy and upcoming programs, aiming to form a third consecutive government in Uttarakhand (Mission 2027).
  • The meeting will outline the Dhami government’s vision for infrastructure, tourism, self-employment, and development work.
  • During the meeting, the party’s core committee will review the work of MLAs. Reports on the activities of the women, youth, farmers, and Scheduled Castes and Tribes fronts will also be reviewed.

Senior BJP leaders, MPs, MLAs, and office bearers from across the state are attending the Working Committee. On the first day of the Working Committee, important organizational issues, including the political resolution and the resolution for a developed Uttarakhand, are being discussed. BJP National President Nitin Naveen will arrive at the venue in the afternoon and address the State Working Committee.

Cabinet Minister Madan Kaushik said that there is considerable enthusiasm among the party workers regarding the guidance of the National President. He said the meeting would discuss strengthening the organization and strategies for the upcoming elections. The BJP would achieve a hat-trick by forming the government in Uttarakhand for the third consecutive time.
