On the birth anniversary of the state’s brave woman, Teelu Rautela, the Uttarakhand government awards the Teelu Rauteli Award to women and adolescent girls for their outstanding performance in sports, social service, literature, and other fields. This year, 13 women from the state have been selected for the Teelu Rauteli Award. The awards will be presented on Saturday, August 8th, at the Sanskrit Department’s auditorium on the Haridwar Bypass Road. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will present the awards to the selected women. Additionally, 35 women will receive the state-level Anganwadi Worker Award.

The award was instituted in 2006. On the birth anniversary of the Teelu Rauteli Award, the state government honors women and adolescent girls for their outstanding work in the field of women’s empowerment. According to the department officials, this time the department received 217 applications from various districts for the Teelhu Rauteli Award. Out of which 13 women have been selected.
In this, 21 applications were received from Almora, 8 from Bageshwar, 12 each from Chamoli and Champawat, 23 from Dehradun, 22 from Haridwar, 29 from Nainital, 8 from Pauri, 13 from Pithoragarh, 13 from Tehri, 11 from Rudraprayag, 11 from Udham Singh Nagar and 24 applications were received by the department from Uttarkashi district. Out of these, 13 women have been selected.
Whereas for the state level Anganwadi worker award, the department received 220 applications from across the state, out of which 35 women have been selected for the award.

- Shweta Badhani (Independent) of Uttarkashi for her outstanding work in the social sector
- Pushpa Fartyal of Almora for her outstanding work in the field of culture and arts
- Daya Danu of Bageshwar for her outstanding work in social service
- Nanda Sati of Chamoli for her outstanding work in music
- Ritika Bagoli of Champawat for her outstanding work in environmental protection and education
- Neetu Rani of Dehradun for her outstanding work in education and bravery
- Vaishali Sharma of Haridwar for her outstanding work in social service
- Latika of Nainital for her outstanding achievements in sports
- Priyanka Pat Thapliyal of Pauri Garhwal for her outstanding achievements in sports, social service, and women’s empowerment
- Kalavati Devi of Pithoragarh for her outstanding work
- Durga Devi of Rudraprayag for her outstanding work
- Sarita Kothiyal of Tehri Garhwal for her outstanding work in the social sector
- Pushpa Devi of Udham Singh Nagar for her outstanding achievements in sports
