Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited Ramayana has sparked fresh buzz after a listing in China reportedly revealed a runtime of 166 minutes, which is around 2 hours and 46 minutes.

The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The reported runtime has caught fans’ attention as the makers are planning the film as a large-scale cinematic experience.
Over Six Hours of Footage?
Earlier, Ranbir Kapoor reportedly revealed that the project had more than six hours of footage, indicating the extensive scale of the production. The reported 166-minute runtime suggests that a significant amount of footage may have been edited for the final theatrical cut.

China Release Adds to the Buzz
Ramayana is also being prepared for an international rollout, with the film reportedly getting a release in China under the title “Ramayana: The Legend of the Prince.” The China release is being seen as an important step in the makers’ global strategy.
The first part of the two-part epic is scheduled for release in November 2026, while the second part is planned for 2027.
Note: The 166-minute runtime comes from a China listing and should be treated as a reported runtime, as the final official runtime may still change before release.
