Rashmika Mandanna Adopts 400 Needy Families, Covers Their Ration Expenses for a Year

In a commendable initiative, renowned actress Rashmika Mandanna has adopted 400 needy families and has undertaken to cover their ration expenses for the next year.
Rashmika will provide these 400 families with free rations and essential groceries every three months for the next year. Through this donation, she hopes to help these families save on their ration expenses and use that money to plan and save for a better future.
Rashmika shared on social media that she was inspired to do this by her character, “Jayamma,” in her upcoming Telugu film, “Ranbali,” which is releasing on October 16, 2026. The film is set against the backdrop of the Madras famine of 1876-1878.

Rashmika shared a note on social media, explaining that she had previously preferred to keep her charitable work private, but now she is sharing it so that her fans and others can be inspired to help others in whatever capacity they can.
In the caption accompanying the post, she wrote, “Some of the characters you play impact you too. Many of you keep asking if there are any similarities between Jayamma and me? My answer is yes! And this is one of them. It has always been a part of me, and Jayamma too. I will always continue to do such work in return for your love. But previously, I kept these things hidden because I felt that if only I, my team, and a few of us knew about it, that would be enough.”

She added, “But now I’m talking about it openly because I think if it inspires all of you to do something similar, I’ll be very happy. Today I’ve adopted 400 families. I want to help 400 families at a time for three months and continue this practice for the next year. My hope is that these families will be able to save money on groceries and rations and use that money to save and plan for their future.”
