Ahead of 2027 Assembly Elections, Dhami Govt Makes Fresh Appointments to Sugarcane, Cow, Disaster & Border Panels

Preparations for the upcoming 2027 Uttarakhand Assembly elections have begun. Consequently, the Dhami government has released its third consecutive list of responsibilities. The Dhami government has rapidly increased its appointments to commissions, councils, and advisory committees. According to recent reports, the number of responsibilities appointed by the government to various positions has reached 100.

Last Friday evening, the state government issued additional messages regarding government responsibilities. The government has assigned six leaders significant responsibilities to various commissions, boards, and advisory committees. This is the third list released in the last three days, and is considered significant in terms of the upcoming assembly election strategy. The latest list includes appointments to institutions related to various sectors, such as sugarcane development, media, cow service, animal welfare, and disaster management. Furthermore, the appointment of a vice-chairman to the Border Area Program Monitoring Council sends a message of importance to border areas.

In orders issued by the Uttarakhand government, Dehradun resident Omveer Singh Raghav was appointed Vice-Chairman of the Sugarcane Development Advisory Committee. Dhirendra Panwar was appointed Vice-Chairman of the Media Advisory Committee. Bhupendra Kandhari, also from Dehradun, was appointed Vice-Chairman of the Gau Seva Aayog. Retired Lieutenant Colonel Raghuveer Singh Bhandari was appointed Vice-Chairman of the Disaster Management Advisory Committee. Senior Udham Singh Nagar leader Ranjeet Singh Namdhari was appointed Vice-Chairman of the Animal Welfare Board. Kiran from Champawat was appointed Vice-Chairman of the Border Area Program Monitoring Council.

The Dhami government has been making appointments to various positions in a phased manner over the past three days. Previously, the government had appointed several leaders to various commissions, councils, and advisory committees. The first and second lists released by the government also included appointments of senior leaders associated with the organization, former office-bearers, and leaders representing various social classes.
