The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has rejected rapper and music producer Yo Yo Honey Singh’s request to appear for questioning on October 22 instead of October 16, 2026. The singer, whose real name is Hirdesh Singh, has been summoned in connection with a complaint over allegedly objectionable remarks made during a concert in Delhi. According to reports , the agency has asked him to appear before the investigating officer and has declined his request for additional time.

The latest development comes after Honey Singh reportedly failed to appear before Maharashtra Cyber on October 5, despite being summoned for questioning, and subsequently sought more time. The agency issued another summons directing him to appear on October 16. Officials have stated that the rapper cited his presence abroad as the reason for his inability to attend. According to the reports, he had already failed to respond to three earlier summonses, prompting the authorities to reiterate their demand for his appearance.

The case stems from allegedly objectionable remarks made by Honey Singh during a concert in Delhi. A video clip of the performance circulated widely on social media, drawing criticism over the language used. Following the controversy, a complaint was filed with the cyber police, leading to an investigation. Honey Singh later issued a public apology, stating that he had not intended to hurt or offend anyone and expressing regret over the way his remarks had been conveyed.

Maharashtra Cyber officials have warned that if the rapper fails to appear in response to the latest summons, they may initiate the process of issuing a Look Out Circular (LOC) against him. Such a notice can alert immigration authorities when a person’s presence is required in connection with an investigation. However, reports indicate that the proposed action remains a possibility rather than a confirmed order. The investigation into the complaint is ongoing, and further action will depend on the authorities’ next steps.
